LESSONS
Individual vocal lessons are one hour in length and cost $100 per session for virtual and $100 per session for inperson. Group lessons are the base rate plus $15 for each additional person. Wolf accepts cash, check, Venmo, Paypal or card. Each lesson is customized to your specific needs as a singer. All lessons are currently on a virtual meeting platform. Wolf has taught students who live all over the globe. Wherever you live Wolf can provide remote lessons that are customized and tailored to your goals and needs.
During lessons, Wolf works on technique, including vocal and breathing exercises that will help extend range, increase endurance, ensure proper breathing, and preserve the voice. He will teach the basic anatomy of the vocal instrument, instruct on the production of making different types of timbres and dynamics with the voice, and show students the basics of vocal production. Wolf not only works with you to apply vocal techniques and concepts to improve your voice, but also helps you to develop your performance of original or cover song material. Lessons are digitally recorded and shared with you so that you can practice regularly outside of lessons.
Studio
Currently Wolf is offering lessons on a virtual meeting platform and in-person. Before each virtual lesson customized exercises and lesson content is sent. Wolf teaches out of a private music studio in NE Portland in the Sabin neighborhood.
What to Bring
For the initial session, you should prepare a song to sing accompanied by sheet music or an mp3 to sing along with. You will perform the song for Wolf so he can evaluate what vocal challenges and strengths you have and what specific exercises would be best suited for you. You can accompany yourself on an instrument as well.
SESSION WORK
Wolf has done extensive writing and recording for both his personal projects and his students' projects. He can contribute his expertise to your recording process. Wolf will collaborate with students in all aspects of writing and recording music for the rate of $150 an hour. Types of session work include:
In-Studio Consultation
Wolf can join you in the studio to assist in producing vocal tracks and provide immediate feedback about song material. Past consultations include: Modest Mouse, Yacht, Jen Wood and others.
Session Musician
Not just an accomplished singer, he also plays guitar, bass guitar, keyboards, and auxiliary percussion. Wolf has played and sung on several of his students recordings, including Yacht, Ages and Ages, Jen Wood and others
Vocal Arranging
Wolf assists in arranging lead vocals and harmonies. Previous collaborations include:
